Movie Trailer of the Day: The King’s Speech’s Oscar-winning director Tom Hooper helms the big-screen version of Les Misérables, the global stage sensation set in 19th-century France.
Hugh Jackman is ex-prisoner Jean Valjean, hunted for decades by ruthless policeman Javert (Russell Crowe). Then Valjean agrees to care for factory worker Fantine’s (Anne Hathaway) young daughter, Cosette (Amanda Seyfried), and all their lives change forever.
Oscar nom for Anne Hathaway, for sure. You can tell how passionate she is about music, it’s almost creepy. I half watched some film she was in before where she randomly sang Somebody to Love by Queen and that made me cry too. I don’t particularly even like her but I feel connected to her when she sings.
I distinctly remember Russell once saying that he would have sex with Dawn French. As a fatty myself, that delights me to no end.
Yes, he did! And he has said lots of times that he is attracted to bigger women in general, not just Dawn French. I like that about him … you don’t have to be a little waif to catch his eye.
I would challenge anyone not to be attracted to Dawn French though. She’s such a minx. I would love to have her charisma.
